EKVITA IMPLEMENTS THE WORLD BANK FUNDED "FERGHANA VALLEY RURAL ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT" PROJECT IN UZBEKISTAN
EKVITA successfully continues the implementation of the "Ferghana Valley Rural Enterprise Development" project financed by the World Bank in Uzbekistan
Starting from October 18, representatives of Ekvita and Encompass Consulting paid a joint visit to the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where the annual major event InnoWeek 2022 was held.
In the framework of the event, Ekvita`s project director, Margherita D`Urso had the chance to meet with the representatives of the Fergana valley innovation infrastructure: Mr Madazimov Muzaffar, Mr Sattarov Ilhomzhon and Mr Yunusov Ziedbek. During the meeting they discussed the implementation of the current project to support business incubation and start-up acceleration development in Namangan, Fergana and Andijan.
Detailed discussion of project activities followed with the General director of the National innovation office Olimijon Tuychiev and Khozhiakbar Karimov.
In the course of the visit, the representatives visited the event itself, got acquainted with innovative developments and concepts of local universities, start-ups, companies and developers and business incubators. The event hosted experts and scientists from more than 50 foreign countries and domestic science and innovations centers, investment funds and business incubators and accelerators.
