Svetlana Rzayeva: My name is Svetlana Rzayeva and I am a third-year student at ADA University. I applied to EKVITA from the ADA Employability week and was selected as a Digital marketing intern.

How Would You Describe your internship experience at EKVITA?

- It was quite interesting and useful, especially because it was my first internship experience. I was working in the Marketing team during the whole internship program. I had a great team, and all the colleagues were nice and polite to me. They helped me with my tasks, navigated, and provided feedback when it was needed. I feel that I got used to their working atmosphere quickly enough.

What skills and knowledge did you gain from your internship?

- I can say confidently that my communication skills improved noticeably, especially while I was engaged in the charity event. In addition, my skills in the Canva program advanced thanks to my colleagues, who helped me to get used to it. Also, I have learned from them how to manage the website and make publications there in different languages. As a digital marketing intern, my work was mainly based on different social media platforms, especially on Linkedln, thus I feel more freely working there now. Overall, I believe that all the gained skills and experience acquired during my internship program at EKVITA will help me in my growth and future career, and I am sincerely grateful for the provided opportunity.

Zulfugar Ismayilzada: My name is Zulfugar Ismayilzada and I am an 18-year-old third-course student at ADA University. I applied to Ekvita as an "international projects" intern and got to experience what it means to be a project coordinator.

What did you enjoy the most in your internship in Ekvita?

For me, the best way to learn something is to try and do it on my own. This is why I am really fond of the experience I got during my internship at Ekvita. The approach to interns here is different from most other internships I had. By far the most enjoyable aspect of my internship was the way I was treated. I was given rather important tasks and whenever I had any issues or questions, everyone was eager to help and answer my questions. The team was always open for discussion and provided me with a lot of interesting details on their work and processes that they go through to deliver the best performance possible.

What did you learn from your internship?

I was new to this field of work and did not have any experience or prior knowledge before becoming an intern here. As a member of the “international projects” team, I learned all about international procurements, tenders, grants and etc. I was taught how to prepare CVs of high quality and how to do proper research with the help of different portals and websites. However, the biggest impact this internship had on me, was the improvement of my soft skills. Everything from communication to critical thinking is crucial for a project coordinator, I got to see how the professionals handled a variety of complex tasks and taught me some of the important tricks and skills in their work field.

Narmin Musayeva: My name is Narmin Musayeva and I am a 21 years old 4th-course student at ADA University. I applied to an internship at Ekvita to be a part of the "international project team" and I get to know the essential perspectives of being a project manager.

How did the internship at EKVITA contribute to your personal growth?

Primarily, I had a chance to put my theoretical knowledge into practice. I noticed my new version among different people in terms of the social atmosphere. It helped me to develop my critical thinking to solve different problems. Meanwhile, I could be able to manage emotional stress and boost a rational state of mind. In the phase of this essential growth, each morning, I became more confident. This leads me to become self-assured when I made independent decisions. Once more, I observed the necessity of a positive climate in the working place, and how it results in ultimate success when team members including me try to listen, understand, and care about one another’s points.

What was the significance of the internship to attain your future goals?

It provided me with early working habits. These habits included soft and hard skills that are highly important for professional life. Principally, my internship experience revealed my upper and lower limits. While working at International Project Team, I learned time management and risk control skills that helped me to discover my personal skills, and decide where I would like to be in the future. During my work at IPT, I used my multitasking skills as well. Thanks to EKVITA’s professional staff, I had an opportunity to get to know different teams and observe their guidelines, such as Digital Marketing. Furthermore, the most significant advantage of the internship at EKVITA was about expanding my professional network on social platforms, especially on Linkedin that helped me to know successful people in their respective positions, and learn many tips from them regarding my future career.
