In accordance with the amended made to Article 233-1 of the Customs Code, a recycling fee is charged upon customs clearance of cars imported into the customs territory 4 years after the date of production/release (with the exception of rare cars and cars temporarily imported into the customs territory).

The determination of the amount of the recycling fee within 3 months was entrusted to the Cabinet of Ministers, in agreement with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

This Law enters into force on February 1, 2024.
