JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Strategic Communication Lead

Key expert 2: Strategic Communication Lead (minimum input 260 working days)
The Strategic Communication Lead will be responsible for providing creative and strategic direction to project activities, including identifying target groups, visual design and messaging development. He/she will also be responsible for Output 1.1: Development of Communication Strategy and Action Plan under the Component 1 “EU Delegation Communication Strategy” and Outputs 3.1-3.3, under Component 3 “Communication on EU support to Azerbaijan and its impact”
Qualifications and Skills:
• Master degree in the fields of communication or journalism, or in its absence, a minimum of 5 years' experience additional to the general professional experience in communication, journalism, public relations or marketing ;
• Excellent spoken and written English (at least level 2 on a scale of 1 to 5 );
• Working knowledge of Azerbaijani, Turkish or Russian would be an advantage.
General professional experience:
• At least 660 working days of professional experience in the field of strategic communication and/ or campaigning in the past 8 years;
• Experience in planning and implementing at least 2 Public Relations campaigns (national/international scale);
• Experience in the field of strategic communication and/or campaigning in EaP countries would be an advantage.
Specific Professional experience:
• At least 660 working days of professional experience developing and implementing large-scale, multichannel communication strategies for international and national actors (embassies, international organizations, international companies, national authorities) in the past 8 years;
• At least 100 working days experience in drafting and editing publications, articles, advertisements, social media campaigns, leaflets, brochures, information sheets, promotional and presentational material or success stories, etc.;
• At least 100 working days experience of working in the field of broadcasting TV and/or radio programs. All experts must be independent and free from conflicts of interest in the responsibilities they take on.
