"SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF LOCAL TECHNOLOGICAL STARTAPS" PROJECT

EKVITA's project "Support to the Development of Local Technology Startups" which was implemented jointly with the German company STEINBEIS GMBH & CO.KG is expected to be completed by the end of this year. At the initiative of the project, it is planned to create startup hubs for the development of startups in universities and other centers.

Initiated by the Asian Development Bank in the first quarter of 2021, the Local Technology Startup Development Assistance Project will support the development of the ecosystem, as well as strengthening local institutional capacity to support the development of startups in the regions of Azerbaijan. The project envisages technical support for technological startups and innovative entrepreneurship ecosystems in Ganja city and Shamakhi region. Thus, in Ganja and Shamakhi, cooperation activities are carried out to identify opportunities for the growth of technological startups, to conduct diagnostic research and exchange information.

The Innovation Center under the State Agency for Civil Service and Social Innovation under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (through INNOLAND, which belongs to the Innovation Center), Ganja State University, Azerbaijan University of Technology and Azerbaijan State Agrarian University are participating in the project.
