In the last years, Ekvita has been implementing different projects with a significant capacity building component, involving different beneficiaries and Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In the EU funded project for Support and Strengthening capacity of the WTO Department of the Ministry of Economy in the Republic of Azerbaijan, main scope was to grant a full functioning of the Trade Remedies Unity of the Ministry of Economy, together with improvement of the skills and capacity of the Ministry of Economy and line ministries on preparation for WTO accession negotiations.
Under the Special Economic Zone project, Ekvita supported the Ministry of Economy in the development of policies and tools (KPIs) for measuring the success of industrial cities/business incubators and their residents, i.e. start-ups and MSMEs, preparation of procedures for determination of economic sectors which have clustering potential, providing guidance on conducting feasibility study and cost-benefit analysis for selected industrial cities/business incubators.
